I know I am officially old and some of you will remember this, and others will be shocked this was ever a thing.

Once upon a time, back in olden times, there were tv repairmen. When there was a problem they would come to your house, with their bag of tools, break open your massive television and go to work.

Fast forward to today and this seems insane. No one could imagine having someone come work on their television, or any of the technology in your home.

However, when it comes to devices in your healthcare practice, some still try to convince you it is necessary to have someone come onsite to fix a problem. The only reason it is necessary is to increase your reliance on them and make it seem that you can’t make it without them.

The Main Problem With Legacy IT Partners

When things are set up correctly, the majority of all problems can be fixed remotely without interrupting your day or slowing down your business. If this isn’t your experience you don’t have a partner, you have an on call tv repairman.

Yes, there are times when an onsite presence is needed and for those instances you should expect fast, friendly service.

Don’t get me wrong I absolutely loved our tv repairman. To this day I remember his name and the smell of apple tobacco in his pipe (yes people still smoked in the house back then). But at some point, things move forward.
